RSS feeds

What is RSS?

RSS is an old and simple way to follow a website. Instead of visiting the site to see if something new appeared, you give its "feed" address to a small program, a feed reader. The reader checks by itself and shows you what is new, from all the sites you follow, in one place.

There is nothing to sign up for. We do not know who follows a feed, and you can stop whenever you want by removing it from your reader.

How to follow a feed

  1. Pick a feed reader. A few free ones: NetNewsWire (iPhone, iPad, Mac), Feeder (Android), Thunderbird (Windows, Mac, Linux, it reads feeds like email), Akregator (Linux). Online readers such as FreshRSS or Miniflux can also be installed on your own server.
  2. Copy the address of a feed from the lists below (the line in this style).
  3. In your reader, choose "Add feed" (or "Subscribe") and paste the address.

That is all: every new photo on that feed will show up in your reader. (If you open a feed address in a web browser, you will see a readable preview with the address to copy.) Many readers also find the feed by themselves if you give them the address of a page of this site.
